Sylvia Elder
Deputy General Counsel
Sylvia is Deputy General Counsel at Medicxi and advises on seed, venture and growth-stage investment transactions, compliance and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Medicxi, Sylvia completed her legal training at Nabarro LLP (now CMS Cameron Mckenna Nabarro Olswang LLP) where she was a corporate associate working on public and private M&A, IPOs and investment transactions in the technology and biotechnology sectors. As part of her previous role, Sylvia also spent time on secondment at GlaxoSmithKline where she provided legal support to the UK & Ireland Pharma team and ViiV Healthcare.
Sylvia received a BA in History from the University of Cambridge and went on to complete her legal studies at the University of Law and Kaplan Law School.
