Stephen Rapecki

Stephen is a Venture Partner at Medicxi. Prior to joining Medicxi, he spent 30 years at Celltech/UCB focused on drug discovery, most recently as the Director of Experimental Therapeutics. Whilst at UCB Stephen discovered the anti-IL-17A/F antibody Bimzelx, in addition to working on multiple next-gen drugs including oral TNFa inhibitors, multi-specific antibodies and anti-FcRn antibodies.

Since joining Medicxi, Stephen has co-founded four Medicxi seed stage companies and acts as an advisor for several Medicxi portfolio companies.

Stephen received a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Kingston and a PhD in cellular immunology from the Open University.
